My Birthday!!!

The moment this is posted, I will officially be a teenager. WOOT!!! 😁

People say that kids that are in their teen years act and are strange. This year I will TRY to go against that stereotype. This year, unlike most of the other years prior, I will not be celebrating my birthday for personal reasons. I remember last year... 100 people in ONE room in front of ONE cake. I barely had any space to stand. It was fun either way though. Ths year I bought a bunch of stuff for myself which is arriving this Monday-Friday. Can't wait for that! Comment down below if you want me to make a post with a review of the stuff I bought:

  • Tombow Dual Brush Pens, 10-Pack, Pastels (Amazon)
  • Stabilo 88 Fineliners, 10-Pack, Pastel (Amazon)
  • Whitelines Graph Notebook, 70 Sheets, Spiral (Amazon)
  • Mini Pencil Case (Daiso)
  • 2 Plastic Erasers (Daiso)
That's it for this post. Make sure you guys read my next post (with all of my 13-year-old thoughts).

Sidenote: My next post will probably be soon since I will have nothing to do over Spring Break, which starts today! 9 days of sitting on my butt and staring at this screen for hours on end is in my future. 😏

What's My Opinion On: VITAMIN C

Don't even ask why the topic is what it is... I might as well deal with it. 😒

Hi, people of the universe. Your fellow gaura is back with another post. I realized that March was about to end and I still had 2 more posts left for this month, so I decided to make a certain type of post. At least one of the posts each month will be a WMOO(What's My Opinion On...) post. To pick the topic, I am going to ask someone(today it was my brother) to say a word that is not a name. Then, I will create a post either ranting, sugarcoating, or just stating facts about the topic. Comment down below your suggestions for WMOO posts as well as your opinions on that topic. Ranting is allowed as long as it is appropriate. Let's talk about vitamin C...

  • Some fruits with vitamin C are delicious while others aren't
    • Guavas, melons, berries, and citrus fruits are great 👍
    • Papayas, bananas, broccoli, and dark leafy greens are things I usually try my best to avoid 👎
  • Taking vitamin C does appear to reduce the duration of a cold by about 10 percent in adults and 15 percent in children.
  • Vitamin C is the single most searched nutrient (vitamin, mineral or herb) on the Internet. 😲
  • Vitamin C manufactures certain anti-stress hormones and turns food into energy.
    • If this is true, then Nandy and I have a shortage... 😳
  • Vitamin C deficiencies are rare
That is it for the first WMOO. This ended up not as fun as I expected because my brother gave me such a factual topic, it is hard to have an opinion on it. Hopefully, the next person I ask won't be a nerd. 😉 See you all in a few days!

The MK Salad + Schedule Revision

Hey guys!

I think you might have noticed that I haven't posted anything in more than a month. I was really busy with Science Olympiad (in which our team did better than expected), but now it is over. I have more time now, but not enough to post once a week like in my previous schedule. So I have made a revised schedule starting today; I will try to post 2-3 (hopefully 3) times a month. I'll see how this plan works, then I may or may not change it according to the results.

Anyway, moving on to the salad. This weekend, after Science Olympiad, most of the teams went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner, as a treat. We were casually talking and eating, then one of the members of our team came up to our table after getting EVERYTHING he wanted to eat. (This person wishes to stay nameless, so I'll just use the initials MK.) We burst out laughing the second we saw his plate, so my brother made a recipe for MK's "salad". I thought it was pretty unusual, so here it is:

  1. Find ONE perfect crouton
  2. Put it in the in a dish
  3. Place the dish in the fridge
  4. Leave the dish in the fridge for 3 hours
  5. Take the dish out of the fridge
  6. Find a round, red plate(the kind you get at Sweet Tomatoes)
  7. Carefully put the crouton in the center of the plate
  8. Leave the crouton on the counter for an hour (while waiting, go for a drive)
  9. Brush away any excess crumbs
  10. Serve and enjoy!
That recipe brings an end to my post, and I hope you enjoyed it!

Sidenote: I dare all of you to try out the salad at home or at Sweet Tomatoes!
